Il concorso internazionale di cortometraggio della sesta edizione del Lucca Film Festival si contraddistingue, anche quest’anno, per il suo alto livello qualitativo. Suddivisi in due categorie, fiction e sperimentale – tra le quali confluiscono anche il documentario e l’animazione, i film che saranno presentati nelle giornate del festival sono tessere di diversa natura e colore, uniti a costituire un mosaico cinematografico rappresentante svariate culture e nazionalità, e differenti modi di approccio alla settima arte – talvolta come avanguardia e talvolta in linea a tradizioni più consolidate.
La selezione finale è il risultato di un attenta scrematura dei lavori pervenuti effettivamente da tutte le parti del mondo; per noi una piacevole conferma della sempre maggiore attenzione rivolta alla vetrina da noi proposta. Ulteriormente – grazie soprattutto a chi di noi, con grande impegno e passione, si è dedicato alla ricerca personale di altri film di valore – il concorso offre anche quest’anno la possibilità di assistere alla proiezione di opere precedentemente selezionate dai più grandi festival mondiali, quale Venezia, Cannes e Berlino.
The international competition of the sixth edition of the Lucca Film Festival is characterized, even this year, by its high quality. Divided in two categories, fiction and experimental – including also documentary and animation, the films that will be presented in the days of the festival are small pieces of different nature and colour, that form together a cinematographic mosaic representing different cultures and nationalities, and different ways of approaching the seventh art – sometimes as avant-garde and sometimes in line with a more established traditions.
The final selection is the result of a careful skimming of works received from all over the world – for us a pleasant confirmation of the increasing attention paid to proposed selection. Furthermore – thanks to those of us, that with great commitment and passion, dedicated himself to the research of other films of value – even this year the competition offers the opportunity to attend the screenings of works previously selected by the greatest festivals of the world, as Venice, Cannes and Berlin.
