Synopsis
A 30-something Jewish woman in New York practises the art of submission in the bedroom. She also navigates power dynamics in other facets of her life, from work to family.
As the leading actor, screenwriter, director and editor of this autofiction made on a shoestring budget, Joanna Arnow puts herself out there, conjuring a character with few onscreen equivalents: a woman who is snarky and passionate, cold and loving, jaded and still figuring it out.
