INTERNATIONAL SHORT-FILMS COMPETITION
The 8th edition of the Lucca Film Festival will take place in October, from 1st to 6th, at the Cinema Centrale, in the centre of Lucca. The Festival wants to promote the knowledge and diffusion of international cinema in all its forms, in a spirit of freedom and conviviality. In addition to the sections mentioned in the following paragraphs, the festival will present retrospectives, exhibitions and homages to artists who excel in film and video-making, in order to promote a better understanding of the history of cinema and videoart.
The International Competition is divided into 2 sections: Fiction and Experimental.
Guidelines
1 GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
•The present document has to be downloaded, signed and sent together with the filled out entry form to the address specified in section 2.
•Works must not be longer than 29 minutes.
•Every work realized in DVD, DV, Mini-DV, Blue-Ray will be accepted.
•For films with dialogue, we recommend to attach (digitally or in paper) a dialogues’ list in English, in order to facilitate the preparation of soft-titles in Italian (if those should not already be taken care of).
2 SUBMISSION OF WORKS
The registration form has to be downloaded, filled up and sent to the following address:

All works have to be sent in DVD copy, and will undergo a process of pre-selection.
Each submitted work has to be labelled specifying title, section, director and running time.
The sent material will not be returned.
The deadline for submissions is fixed on August the 15th 2012.
Please, make sure to send 2 dvd copies of each work you’re submitting, along with the printed registration form and regulations. Moreover, it would be helpful enclosing in the mail a dvd/cd with high-quality pics of the submitted works, in order to have all we need for the catalogue in case of selection.
3 INSCRIPTION FEE
Is it necessary to send 10 € for each package.

The festival administration will communicate, via e-mail, the decisions of the Official Selection Committee by September 10th 2012
